Welcome to Campfire Bengaluru — a 24-hour, teen-only game jam hackathon happening on February 28 – March 1, 2026, at Newton School of Technology, Bengaluru. Organised by a student-led team under Hack Club, Campfire Bengaluru is part of Hack Club's global Campfire series, where students in 100+ cities and 20+ countries build and ship playable games on the same weekend.
Campfire is not your typical hackathon. The focus is on creativity, learning, and community — not corporate pitches or VC decks. We bring together high-school students who love games, tech, art, music, or storytelling, and give them 24 hours to build something fun, imperfect, and theirs. Whether you've never written a line of code or you're already shipping projects on GitHub, Campfire Bengaluru is for you.
What makes Campfire Bengaluru different:
• Teen-only and beginner-friendly — no intimidating environments, just peers building together
• Panel Stage — a casual, honest conversation with engineers, founders, game devs, and creators. Real stories. Real Q&A. No slides.
• Workshops on Godot, Unity, Unreal, and other beginner-friendly game dev tools
• Part of Hack Club's global Campfire series — you're not alone, you're part of a worldwide moment
• Experimentation over seriousness — ship a game, learn fast, and have fun

Requirements
What to Build
Build a playable game of any genre — platformer, puzzle, adventure, simulation, or anything creative! Your game must:
• Be created during the 24-hour event window (Feb 28, 8:00 PM – Mar 1, 2:00 PM)
• Be playable (it does not need to be polished — just something others can try)
• Be built by a team of 1–4 members, all of whom are under 18
• Be built using any game engine or technology (Godot, Unity, Unreal, GameMaker, Scratch, or even web-based tools are all welcome)
• Not be a previously existing project — all work must be original and created at the event
What to Submit
When submitting your project on Devpost, please include the following:
• A link to your playable game (hosted on itch.io, GitHub Pages, or similar)
• A short description of your game (what it is, how to play, what tools/engines you used)
• A demo video or GIF (30–90 seconds) showing your game in action
• Screenshots (at least 2)
• Names and ages of all team members
• Source code link (GitHub repo or zip file upload)
